Support usDonations to Project Victoria are tax deductible and may be sent to: Project Victoria Fund Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation 200 1st St. SW Cedar Rapids IA 52404 Contributions of any size are welcomed and appreciated. The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation is a public, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charity that manages the Project Victoria fund and transfers donations to our nonprofit organization in Guatemala, where funds are distributed among the students. Your donation will help give the students a sense of security that, provided they get good grades, they will be able to continue toward graduation. We will also be glad to facilitate and translate correspondence between sponsors and students; just write to christopherjcurran@yahoo.com if you'd like us to put you in touch with one of the students. Guidelines on how much to give
Once your contribution is received, the GCRCF will send you an acknowledgement receipt that you can keep for tax purposes. Holidays and Honorary GiftsMaking a donation in the name of a friend or family member is a great way to honor that person for a holiday, birthday, or other occasion. To do so, send your check to the Greater Cedar Rapids Foundation address above, including a separate note with the words "Gift reference: (honoree's name)." Then send the honoree's address and email address to info@projectvictoria.org. We will add your honoree to the donors page and send her or him a packet of info about Project Victoria, biographical info and photos of the group of students whose scholarships your gift is supporting, and contact information so that your honoree can be in touch with a student or students if s/he desires. VolunteeringWe can always use help with the planning and organization of fundraising events. If you would like to organize a benefit dance, concert, or other event in your area, please write us at info@projectvictoria.org. Help in identifying foundations and other sources of grants and funding is also very valuable to us. Be involvedIndividuals, groups, Spanish classes, and other supporters of Project Victoria are encouraged to correspond directly with the scholarship students. Contact us for help with translation and facilitation of two-way communication. Click for a list of Project Victoria donors.
