Diana Magali Gutiérrez Cayax

Statement of Scholarship student. Diana Magali Gutiérrez Cayax

La Esperanza, Guatemala, January 1, 2005

To the Victoria Associacion,
Quetzaltenango.

I greet you with the respect that you deserve, hoping that you have success in the daily tasks you realize.

The reason for this letter is to ask for your support. I am a young woman, 16 years old, and my name is Diana Magali Gutiérrez Cayax. I have a great desire to get ahead, but my parents Osmael Gutiérrez Alvarado and Rufina Cayax Pérez don’t have resources so that I can keep studying.

The grade that I’m scheduled to enter into is segundo grado. I don’t want to end my education in that grade. We are ten siblings in my family and six of them didn’t have the opportunity to finish their studies. I have the desire to finish mine, and that is why I ask for your help.

In the future I want to be a doctor. The institute where I study is called I.M.E.B.L.E., the Coeducational Institute of Education of La Esperanza.
In advance, I am very grateful.

I await your response.

Atte:
